ALOO BHINDI KI SABZI

Ingredients:
  • Potatoes                                              :   4
  • Bhindi (Lady Fingers)                       :   300 gms
  • Saunf (Fennel seeds)                          :   ½ tsp
  • Onions                                                 :   2 finely chopped
  • Green chillies                                      :   3 to 4 (long slit)
  • Garlic                                                   :   10 to 15 cloves
  • Red Chilli Powder                              :   1 tsp
  • Dhania Jeera Powder                         :   1 tsp
  • Haldi (Turmeric)                                :   1 tsp
  • Amchur (Dry Mango Powder)          :   1 ½ tsp
  • Chat Masala                                        :   1 tsp
  • Besan (Gram Flour)                           :   3 tsp
  • Oil                                                         :   3 to 4 tbsp
  • Heeng (Asafoetida)                              :   ¼ tsp

Method:
  • Heat a Pan.  Add ½ tsp Saunf (Fennel seeds) . fry for 2 mins. then add Jeera – Heeng – Ginger & Green chillies Paste – Onion.  When the Onions become translucent, add Potatoes .  Fry for 5 mins. then add Bhindi (Lady fingers)- Red Chilli Powder – Dhania Jeera Powder – Besan- Haldi (Turmeric) – Garam Masala Powder – Salt
  • Cover the Pan and cook for 8 to 10 mins.  Keep checking it in between and stirring.
  • Our Aloo Bhindi is ready to serve !!!!
  • Serve with Rotis, Chapatis or Naan…
