KHEER ( PAYESAM)
Ingredients:
- Semiya (Vermicelli ) : 1 cup
- Sugar : 3/4th cup
- Water : 1 cup
- Milk : 2 cups
- Khishmis (Raisins) : 10 to 15
- Cashewnuts : 10 to 15
- Elaichi powder (Cardamom Powder) : ½ tsp
- Ghee
(clarified Butter) : 3 tsp
Method:
- Take
a Non-stick Pan. Add 2 to 3 tsp
Ghee (clarified butter)
- Then
add Raisins & cashewnuts. Fry till it becomes golden brown in colour
- Take
out Cashenuts & Raisins in a plate and keep it aside
- In
the same pan, fry Vermicelli & keep it aside
- Now
in a separate Vessel add 1 cup of water .
When the water starts boiling add fried Vermicelli for 2 to 3 mins.
- Add 3/4th cup of sugar and 2 cup
of milk and Cardamom powder.
- Now
add cashewnuts and raisins. Cook
for 2 mins
- Kheer
is ready to serve.
- This
Kheer also tastes good when chilled in fridge.
