KHEER ( PAYESAM)
Ingredients:
  • Semiya (Vermicelli )                :   1 cup
  • Sugar                                       :   3/4th cup
  • Water                                      :  1 cup
  • Milk                                         :  2 cups
  • Khishmis (Raisins)                   :  10 to 15
  • Cashewnuts                             :  10 to 15
  • Elaichi powder (Cardamom Powder) : ½ tsp
  • Ghee (clarified Butter)             :  3 tsp
Method:
  • Take a Non-stick Pan.  Add 2 to 3 tsp Ghee (clarified butter)
  • Then add Raisins & cashewnuts. Fry till it becomes golden brown in colour
  • Take out Cashenuts & Raisins in a plate and keep it aside
  • In the same pan, fry Vermicelli & keep it aside
  • Now in a separate Vessel add 1 cup of water .  When the water starts boiling add fried Vermicelli for 2 to 3 mins.
  • Add  3/4th cup of sugar and 2 cup of milk and Cardamom powder. 
  • Now add cashewnuts and raisins.  Cook for 2 mins
  • Kheer is ready to serve.
  • This Kheer also tastes good when chilled in fridge.
