VADA PAV
Ingredients:
  • Potatoes                                   :   10 (boiled & mashed)
  • Besan (ChicPea Flour)             :   2 cups
  • Green chillies                           :   6 to 8
  • Ginger                                     ;   1 inch piece
  • Garlic                                      :   15 cloves
  • Curry Leaves                           :   15 to 20
  • Coriander                                :   ½ cup
  • Rai (Mustard seeds)                 :   1 tsp
  • Haldi (Turmeric)                     :   1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Pav (Indian Bread)                  :   12
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Water for making batter
Method:
  • Make a paste of  Ginger, Garlic and Green chillies.
  • Heat 2 tsp oil in a Pan. Add 1 tsp Rai (Mustard seeds), curry leaves, Ginger-Garlic-Green Chillies Paste. Mix well. Add ½ tsp Turmeric powder and Salt.
  • In a bowl take Boiled & Mashed Potatoes. Then add the above tempering, coriander, lemon juice and mix well.
  • Make small lemon size balls and flatten them and keep them aside.
  • To prepare Batter : In a bowl take Besan. Add Haldi (turmeric ) salt, Little Coriander. Keep adding little water and make a medium consistency batter.
  • In a pan. Pour Oil and deep fry the potatoe balls .
  • Take a Pav and slit it in the centre with a knife… Apply Dry Red Lasun chutney (Garlic chutney) .
  • Place one Vada in the Pav.
  • Our Vada Pav is ready to serve !!!
