VADA PAV
Ingredients:
- Potatoes : 10 (boiled & mashed)
- Besan
(ChicPea Flour) : 2 cups
- Green
chillies : 6 to 8
- Ginger ; 1 inch piece
- Garlic : 15 cloves
- Curry
Leaves : 15 to 20
- Coriander : ½ cup
- Rai
(Mustard seeds) : 1 tsp
- Haldi
(Turmeric) : 1 tsp
- Salt
to taste
- Pav
(Indian Bread) : 12
- Oil
for deep frying
- Water
for making batter
Method:
- Make
a paste of Ginger, Garlic and Green
chillies.
- Heat
2 tsp oil in a Pan. Add 1 tsp Rai (Mustard seeds), curry leaves, Ginger-Garlic-Green
Chillies Paste. Mix well. Add ½ tsp Turmeric powder and Salt.
- In
a bowl take Boiled & Mashed Potatoes. Then add the above tempering,
coriander, lemon juice and mix well.
- Make
small lemon size balls and flatten them and keep them aside.
- To
prepare Batter : In a bowl take Besan. Add Haldi (turmeric ) salt, Little
Coriander. Keep adding little water and make a medium consistency batter.
- In
a pan. Pour Oil and deep fry the potatoe balls .
- Take
a Pav and slit it in the centre with a knife… Apply Dry Red Lasun chutney
(Garlic chutney) .
- Place
one Vada in the Pav.
- Our
Vada Pav is ready to serve !!!
