BREAD PAKODA

Preparation Time :  30 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • Besan (Bengal Gram flour)      :  2 cups
  • Rice Flour                                 :  3/4th cup
  • Oil                                            :  3 tsp hot oil to mix in batter
  • Oil for Deep frying Pakodas
  • Garlic                                                :  10 to 15 cloves
  • Green chillies                          :  6
  • Coriander Leaves                    :  ½ cup (finely chopped)
  • Haldi (Turmeric)                     :   tsp
  • Heeng (Asafoetida)                :   ½ tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Bread Slices                            : 15 to 20 slices
  • Water
Method:
  • In a Big Bowl take Besan. Add Rice Flour, 3 tsp hot oil, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves, turmeric, salt and  heeng(asafetida). Make a batter by mixing all the ingredients and adding little water .  Keep mixing while adding water, so that you would know the consistency of the batter.
  • Cut each Bread slice into 4 pieces.
  • Heat Oil in a Deep Kadhai/Pan
  • Dip each piece of small Bread slice in batter and deep fry in oil
  • When the Bread Pakodas are fried, take it out on a paper napkin (placed in a bowl) to remove excess oil.
  • Bread Pakodas are ready !!! Serve them with Green chutney.
