Dahi Vada

Ingredients:
Medu Vadas, Curds – 2 Bowls full, Turmeric (Haldi) ½
tsp, Green Chillies – 4 to 5 , Curry Leaves -1 or 2 stems.
Tips:
To Keep Vadas soft, take a bowl of water , add salt to it. Now add Vadas to this water and keep it for a
minute. Squeeze water from the vadas by
pressing it in between your palms and put it in another bowl. Then make the Dahi / Yoghurt Tempering and
add this Tempering to these Vadas .
Method:
Take 2 Cups of Curd/Yoghurt & whisk it well. Now
add turmeric, Salt, Green Chillies and Curry leaves.
Tempering:
In a small pan – take 2 tsp oil , add 5 Red Chillies – 1 tsp Mustard Seeds, Heeng/Asafoetida 1 tsp, methi
daana (fenugreek seeds) – 4 to 5 seeds. Now add this Tempering to the above
Curd . Pour this tempered Curds to the
Vadas. Dahi Vadas are now ready to serve
