BHATURA RECIPE
Ingredients:
• Maida / All purpose flour : 500 grams
• Curd / Yogurt : 1 cup
• Rava / Semolina/Sooji : 5 tsp
• Baking Soda : 1 tsp
• Baking Powder : 1 tsp
• Sugar : 1 tsp
• Salt
• Oil
• Water to knead the dough
Method:
• In a bowl take Maida, then add Baking Soda, Baking Powder, Rava , Salt, Sugar and mix well. Then add curds/yogurt and mix well. Knead the dogh with lukewarm water (warm water). Cover with a wet cloth and keep in a warm place for 3 to 4 hours.
• After 3 to 4 hours. Knead the dough again and roll it into Bhatura (like puris) (Before rolling apply some oil on the dough and roll it into thin puris)
• Heat Oil in a Pan. When the oil is hot, test the oil by dropping a small portion of the dough. When the dough rises up in the oil, that means the oil is ready to fry the Bhaturas.
• Fry Bhaturas one by one on a medium high flame. Keep pressing with spoon and pouring oil on the bhaturas in the pan. This will make the Bhaturas to puff.
• Our Bhaturas are ready to serve. Take the Bhaturas on a Plate and serve with Chole, onion and a piece of lemon.
