TAWA PULAO RECIPE - MUMBAI STYLE TAWA PULAO II तवा पुलाव II BY VIJAYALAKSHMI II

TAWA PULAO RECIPE – MUMBAI STYLE TAWA PULAO 

Ingredients:


• Rice : 1 Cup (250 gms) (Pre-cooked)
• Tomatoes : 3 (finely chopped)
• Onions : 2 (finely chopped)
• Potatoes : 2 (boiled, peeled & cut into small pieces)
• Green Peas : ½ Cup (50 gms)
• Shimla Mirch (Capsicum): 1 (chopped)
• Ginger Garlic Paste : 1 tsp
• Jeera (Cumin Seeds) : 1 tsp
• Oil : 4 tbsp
• Coriander : 1/2 Cup
• Pav Bhaji Masala : 2 tsp
• Haldi (Turmeric Powder) : 1 tsp
• Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder: 1 tsp
• Garam Masala : ½ tsp
• Salt to taste
• Lemon Juice : 1 (Juice of 1 lemon)
• Onion Slices : 2 to 3 
• Tomato Slices : 2 to 3
• Curds : 1 Cup (Garnish with pinch of Red Chilli 
• Powder)

Method:

• Heat Oil in a Pan. Add Jeera. When Jeera (Cumin Seeds) splutter, add Ginger Garlic Paste.
• Now add Onions and fry till the Onions become soft or translucent
• Then add Green Peas and Shimla Mirch (Capsicum).
• Cook for 2 mins. Now add Tomatoes. Cover and cook till the Tomatoes become soft. Keep opening the Lid at regular intervals and when the Tomatoes become soft, add Boiled & mashed Potatoes
• Now add all the spices viz. Kashmiri Red chilli Powder, Pav Bhaji Masala, Garam Masala and Mix well. 
• Add cooked Rice. Mix well. Cover and cook for 2 mins. 
• After 2 mins. remove the lid. Mix well and add Lemon Juice. (Don’t cook after adding Lemon Juice) . Add Coriander, Mix well. Immediately switch off the gas. 
• Our Tawa Pulao is ready .
• Serve this Tawa Pulao on a plate with Curds (sprinkle a pinch of Red Chilli Powder on this Curds).
• Also Serve with 2 to 3 slices of Onion and 2 to 3 slices of Tomato.
• Our Tawa Pula (Mumbai Style Tawa Pulao) is ready to serve !!! Enjoy…..
